The relationship between Tommy Cochrane and Doug Griesemer began in 1998 while working together for a local builder. Although their careers took different paths, through the years their friendship remained strong.  As the housing industry started to decline, Doug and Tommy began to discuss career opportunities. They decided to become partners and start their own company. Advantage Home Builders, Inc. was established in 2008.

Tommy and Doug have over 35 years of combined experience in new home construction. Their experience consists of multi-family and single family homes, priced from $80,000 to over $1,000,000.   The company was built around the same core values of that they live day to day.   They feel that integrity, honesty and quality construction have been the foundation for Advantage Home Builders’ rapid success.

In a market where many builders have closed their doors or left the area, Advantage Home Builders has been able to thrive in the industry and continue to grow. The company which started in 1 community and closed 20 homes during its first year of business is now selling in 11 communities with 7 furnished models in the Jacksonville market and 1 community with a furnished model in the Gainesville market.  The company closed 53 homes in 2009 and 66 homes in 2010.

Tommy and Doug believe that their success would not have been possible without the support of a team of hard working and dedicated Employees and Subcontractors.  They feel that these established relationships have helped them achieve the high standards that they expect in every home that they build.
